Current solutions for translation used in India mainly revolve around typing in text into Google Translate and manually translating sentence by sentence. In many situations (e.g. a doctor's office) this is not a tractable solution. Previous voice AI efforts have translated each sentence robotically, which has led to subpar experiences.

Claro envisions using Agentic Voice AI to intelligently act as a 3rd member (translator) in the conversation. The agent judges when to translate, what to translate, and when to respond to the user instead of translating.
