Elder AI Companion

Over 20% of 65+ year olds live alone globally. Many of them often go days without real conversations. At the same time, their families often worry about them but are too busy or too far away to be proactively checking in on them.

The Elder AI Companion calls your parent/grandparent daily, checking in on how they're feeling, asking about their day and sending a summary of how they're doing to their caregivers.

In a pilot with 6 consumers, we learnt that:

• Grandparents valued speaking with an AI companion as long as there was no latency or missed snippets

• They really wanted to use their companion to do other tasks for them, like play a song or order groceries

• Their children found daily WhatsApp updates really valuable
