Current Focus
At GrowthStory, I am building at GS Labs, investing in early-stage companies across the US and India, and advising portfolio companies on product and growth.
As a builder, I'm most interested in how AI can transform the broken experience of managing our health - at the doctor's office, or at home. We're working on an AI-enabled longevity coach, an AI-enabled companion for elders and a seamless translation system for doctor's offices. If you're building in this space, or want to work with us, I'd love to connect.
Background
I've spent over 12 years working in early- and growth stage technology companies on strategy, growth and product development. I've been part of the 0-1 journey of finding product-market fit, scaling to the first $10M and $100M and the foundational pivots needed to stay valuable as markets and consumer expectations evolve.
At Rula Health, I led the product team for new verticals and partnerships and established a new growth motion for the company. I launched new business lines, built first-party platform and API integrations that doubled user growth, and grew revenue by 35%.
At Reforge, I joined as employee 10 and was part of the leadership team through 2 fundraises (a16z, insight partners), exponential user & revenue growth and 3 hard pivots. I built and scaled the courses business to $2M revenue in 6 months, and ultimately ran the $20M L&D business, serving over 20K customers across the world.
I've also been a consultant at McKinsey (India, US, Southeast Asia) and started my career in data analytics and product at Zynga and SigFig.
I did my MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, BA in Economics at NUS, and a minor in technology entrepreneurship at Stanford.
What I Believe
On AI and company-building. X and LinkedIn are full of thought leaders telling us exactly how the future is going to look once AI is a teammate in our workplace. But I believe it's far too soon for us to know exactly how AI is going to shape the future of business-building, what "work" looks like, and what role venture capital will play in the startup ecosystem. This isn't just because the technology is moving at a faster pace than we can keep up but we as humans, countries, and communities are also continuing to understand and shape what role we want it to play in our lives.
The best people I know are approaching this shift with humility. They acknowledge what they don't know, and stay focussed on learning and building.
On healthcare. Having worked in mental healthcare and been a consumer myself, I think it's safe to say that healthcare is broken for the consumer, for the providers, for peers and health systems. Healthcare as a sector has not benefited from the last two decades of technological progress.
We are now at an incredible crossroads. We have a burning problem, a generation ready to be proactive about healthcare, and the technological and regulatory foundations that will leapfrog us to a new paradigm of health care.
